Deanne, a Psychologist, works part-time with our practice offering assessment and treatment services for young people. She is energetic, warm and caring and develops meaningful relationships with the people with whom she works. She uses a range of treatments, including: emotional-based social skills, cognitive behaviour therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, mindfulness, and parenting skills.
As an intern psychologist, Deanne provided evidence-based intervention to children and adolescents in a primary and high school setting, and at the university clinic setting. She also conducted psychometric assessments of children. Deanne has always had a passion for working with young people. Prior to becoming a psychologist, Deanne worked as an Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) therapist and workign in a before and after school care.
Deanne obtained her Master of Clinical Psychology from the Bond University in 2016, Her postgrauate Diplomia of Psychology in 2013 and her Bachelor of Science-Psychology with a Bachelor of Health from Macquarie in 2011.
Deanne is a Registered Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). While Deanne has a Clinical Master degree, in her first two years of psychological practice she will be undertaking the registrar program to become an endorsed clinical psychologist and her principal supervisor is Birgitta Osterberg. She is an associate member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS). Deanne is a registered service provider of the Australian Government’s Better Outcomes for Mental Health Care Program and the Australian Government and will be a provider of the Aspect Australia’s Helping Children with Autism program.
