Mindfulness Workshop: April 2018 School Holidays

(for our existing clients)

Mindfulness is being aware of our experiences, from moment-to-moment, without judgment.  Research shows that mindfulness is a learned skill that can help children and adults in lots of ways. Benefits include greater focus, better emotion regulation, stress management, more cognitive flexibility, fewer ruminative (repetitive) thoughts, more self-compassion and enhanced creativity.

In these workshops, the children will work through a number of activities to start developing skills in observing and describing experiences, acting with awareness, focusing attention, accepting negative experiences without judgment, non-reactivity to inner experiences (e.g., self-doubt), and reflecting on inner experiences in a more flexible and balanced way.

Depending on numbers, at this stage the times and dates are as follows:

April 2018 Mindfulness Workshops

Children’s Group (Years 4 - 6)

Dates: Friday 20th April

Time: 9:30am – 12.30pm

Fee: $200.00 per 3-hour session


Teens’ Group (Years 7 to 10)

Dates: Friday 27th April

Time: 3:15pm- 6:15pm

Fee: $200.00 per 3-hour session
