Josephine Knight

Jo has been a registered Psychologist for more than ten years. Jo works part-time with our practice, offering assessment and treatment services to young people. Jo returns to HMHK after two years living and working in Canada as a psychologist. Jo's caring nature, and her ability to connect with and engage young people, ensures that clients feel heard in a safe and comfortable setting. She uses a range of treatments, including: cognitive behaviour therapy, trauma focused cognitive behaviour therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, dialectic behaviour therapy and parenting skills. 

Jo obtained her Master of Clinical Psychology, a Postgraduate Diploma of Psychology (Rehabilitation Counselling), and Bachelor of Arts (Psychology; Human Resource Management) from Charles Sturt University. Jo is a Registered Psychologist with the  Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Jo is currently undertaking the registrar program to become an endorsed Clinical Psychologist. Jo's principal supervisor is Birgitta Österberg. She is a full member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS) and a member of the College of Clinical Psychology. Jo is a registered service provider of the Australian Government’s Better Outcomes for Mental Health Care Program and a provider of the National Disability Insurance Scheme.
